It was so long ago I can’t remember anymore
Is this reality or am I losing my mind?
It seems like nothing ever changes (ever changes)
Feels like this city’s staring back at me
We’re trapped in this steel cage, we cannot escape
We’re stuck in this cycle, we do not embrace
We’re trapped in this steel cage, we cannot escape
We’re stuck in this cycle, we do not embrace
Bring me closer to your eyes
Watch me fade from existence
Slowly you will realize
That reality is the illusion
Take a good look you’ll realize (realize)
We’re machines set to slave away
Crushed by the burdens of society
We place our hopes in thoughts and prayers
Thoughts and prayers
Only to realize that we’re all alone
Fucking realize, we’re all alone
Bring me closer to your eyes
Watch me fade from existence
Slowly you will realize
That reality is the illusion
Bring me closer to your eyes
Watch me fade from existence
Slowly you will realize
That reality is the illusion
Fall on your knees and soak in the pain
You’re just a pawn, a pawn in this game
You won’t amount to anything
This is the fate that we have to accept
Only to realize that we’re all alone, all alone
Seems like nothing ever changes
Feels like this city’s staring back at me
Bring me closer to your eyes
Watch me fade from existence
Slowly you will realize
That reality is the illusion
Bring me closer to your eyes
Watch me fade from existence
Slowly you will realize
That reality is the illusion
I am more a melodeath guy than deathcore, but I enjoy all the symphonic elements or rythym changes. This album is a BLAST omg my neck hurt, so much headbang🤘🤘 olive855
First WTF was google music actually throwing something good into my feed.
Second WTF was everything every goddamn member of this band does. This and the previous album have been on repeat for weeks. All other music tastes like diet water. Help. Gruso
Chicago deathcore outfit Into the Silo torch everything in sight on this searing new LP with riffs that will leave bruises. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 21, 2022
Pity that I could not find the deluxe edition with LoG's Laid to Rest. Nevertheless I wanted to add Elegy to my BC collection. It's unique as it is a delightful mix of symphony and deathcore. The vocals are just the perfect "5th element" that allows both styles to intertwine perfectly. Ben Duerr is the perfect vocalist for this role. The Elegy trilogy at the end is just the apotheose of death-gasm, it's a good trip down to memory lane as I've seen S.O.I. live last year! sachavonkarl74
